About This Cause
Another Choice is a statewide not-for-profit organization located in Charlotte, NC. The organization started in 1995 with focus on recruiting families to adopt children with special needs from the child welfare system. The majority of the children were siblings, school aged, and teens. Many of the children had emotional, behavior, and medical needs. Through the emergency shelter, we provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for youth until an appropriate placement is secured. We have expanded our mission to serve adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless through opening a family care home.
