About This Cause
White Oak Foundation, Inc. — a non-profit corporation and a fully qualified 501(c)(3) charity — organized in 1998 to serve Wake, Durham, Chatham, Lee, Harnett, Johnston and Orange counties. Our mission and purpose is “Caring for the Total Person” through the implementation of programs and projects to address hunger, to promote home ownership and to establish economic self-reliance. Our Foundation works diligently to keep families in their homes by preventing foreclosure, educating potential homebuyers & renters, ensuring families are fed through our bi-monthly Food Bank distribution and bi-weekly hot meal delivery to seniors, providing scholarships to those seeking to prepare for the future and providing assistance with utilities bills and other financial hardships. In essence, we’re improving our communities and bringing economic stability to families in need.
