Mission Statement

The mission of the Jeff Gordon Foundation is to support children battling cancer by funding programs that improve patients’ quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship and pediatric medical research dedicated to finding a cure. Our vision is that there will be a day when no child will face the uncertainty of cancer and that successful treatments will not result in negative, long-term effects.

About This Cause

Founded in 1999 by four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon, Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation has raised more than $19 million to fund research for less toxic, more effective treatments for kids fighting cancer. Driven to beat childhood cancer, Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation (JGCF) was founded by the four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion in 1999 to improve outcomes for families fighting the number one cause of death by disease for kids. Since then, JGCF has granted more than $19 million to fund ground-breaking and promising research at hospitals and research institutions across the country, as well as open the Jeff Gordon Children’s Center in Concord, N.C. and the Butaro Cancer Center of Excellence in Rwanda. In the race to beat pediatric cancer, every child matters and every hour counts
