Mission Statement
We provide fire protection, deal with the aftermath of hurricane disasters, provide both fire prevention and safety training to to the Ocracoke community and to the portion of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore located on Ocracoke Island, NC.
About This Cause
Although our major purpose is to put out fires, we work to save property and lives on isolated Ocracoke Island however it is needed. We provide support for medical air evacuations to hospitals in Greenville, NC, Nags Head, NC, or Norfolk, VA. We provide backup service to the EMS for automobile accidents, drownings or other beach incidents, and any time extra support is needed. We sell home address signs to make it easier for our EMT Service and fire department to locate homes. We provide "Vial of Life" materials to those residents who need the service.
