Mission Statement
One80 Place provides food, shelter and hope to end homelessness and hunger one person at a time, one family at a time.
About This Cause
Founded in 1984 by local government, business, and religious leaders, One80 Place is now the largest provider of shelter and supportive services for homeless men, women, and children in South Carolina. One80 Place shelters 160 individuals nightly and provides on-site services that include: case management, adult basic education, employment training and placement, legal services, a community kitchen that serves three meals a day to guests (lunch is available to anyone in the public), health care, and Veterans services. In downtown Charleston, One80 Place has a men's shelter, including a Veteran's dorm, and a Family Center that shelters women, children, families, and Female Veterans. One80 Place also proudly serves Veterans through our SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) with offices located in Charleston, SC and Columbia, SC.
