Mission Statement
Our mission statement is to provide free hot nutritious meals to anyone who is hungry and to eliminate hunger in our local community. We serve the working poor, families and children, Veterans, senior citizens, transients, homeless, and the physically and mentally challenged. We are proud to continue this tradition for over 27 years in welcoming our guests who are from all walks of life.
About This Cause
The Community Kitchen of Myrtle Beach has been in existence since 1992 with the mission of feeding the hungry. We are located in the Community Assistance Center at 1411 Mr. Joe White Avenue in the heart of Myrtle Beach. We are open, Monday - Friday, serving a hot nutritious breakfast and lunch, five days a week. Every person who comes to us for assistance is welcomed for a free meal. This past year, 2018, we have provided meals to over 101,000 hungry people in our General Feeding Program and nourished 32,644 children in our Children's Hunger Initiative Program. It is not the number we serve that makes a difference, what makes the difference is the love that we share with our guests in the process. Everything that we do is only possible because of people who believe in and support our mission.
