Mission Statement
Darlington Rescue is a dedicated team of volunteers whose goal is to reduce the euthanasia rate at Darlington County Humane Society. With only a small percentage of our pets being locally adopted we rely heavily on rescues to save our homeless pets. We provide full vetting for all of our pets immediately upon arrival and place a high priority on making sure everyone is vaccinated and has the best medical care possible. Our Bridge Boarding Facility, an extension of the rescue program, is solely funded by donations and provides a safe haven for pets with extenuating medical conditions and or are in need of a temporary place to call home til they transport to their rescue group. Bridge Boarding frees up valuable kennel space at the shelter making room for that next homeless pet. By supporting DCHS Rescue, you are directly impacting and saving lives each and every day.
