About This Cause
United Way of Greater Atlanta unites the region to create, amplify, and accelerate solutions that promote child well-being by addressing our communities’ most complex social challenges. As one of the largest in the nation, we combine the collective forces of our network, assets, and know-how to deliver powerful impact across the 13-counties we serve. Inspired by local residents as an organized effort to help people devastated by a severe ice storm in 1905, United Way of Greater Atlanta continues to mobilize our community to make lasting improvements. Contributions to United Way are invested in strong local programs and initiatives working to ensure every child, regardless of race or circumstance, has the resources they need to thrive. Because when children thrive, communities thrive too!
