About This Cause
Training and Counseling Center (TACC) provides mental health counseling for the disadvantaged based on ability to pay, using a sliding scale with some paying nothing. TACC also trains all denominations of religious leaders to help in addressing mental health issues in urban organizations that work with those that are addicted, sick, traumatized, and marginalized. TACC’s mission is to promote the psychological and well-being of individuals in our community through the provision of affordable counseling services. TACC has sustained its mission over a period of 43 years, meeting the pressing needs of the community through outreach, counseling, life coaching, assistance in meeting basic needs, referrals, and other encounters. In order to extend services to additional families and individuals, TACC has built health, human service, faith, and civic partnerships throughout Metro Atlanta through both satellite offices and at partnership sites through student and counselor placements. Currently, TACC is a stand-alone 501c3 organization that provides services and resources to all races, ethnicities, ages, and religions, governed by an independent board of directors with an operating budget just over $690,000. A sound internal framework enhances our ability to serve the community at large, foster the personal growth of our clients, and provide lasting impact for hundreds of vulnerable Georgians annually.
