Mission Statement
Direct Services was established in 1979 for the purpose of providing nutrition, health and support services to senior and disabled individuals. Our primary mission it to provide services that enable our clients to remain in their homes near familiar support systems for as long as they are independent and safe.
About This Cause
Direct Services provides support services to senior and disabled adults through the following programs: Meals on Wheels - Nutritious Meals delivered to clients homes Homemaker Aide Services- Basic Cleaning, laundry and essential errands for clients unable to take care of these tasks Community Care Services Program- Coordination of services to enable disabled clients to remain in their homes (ex. emergency response systems, therapies, meals, skilled nursing). Caregiver Time Out - Reimbursement program for Caregivers of clients with dementia related diseases, allows family to provide for alternative care for their loved one to give the caregiver time out from the demands of caring for their loved one. Senior Centers- We operate Senior Centers in Clay, Harris, Stewart, Randolph and Muscogee County GA- provides daily congregate meals and enrichment activities for the seniors who attend.
