We are parents, families, allies, and LGBTQ+ people creating a caring, just, and affirming community for LGBTQ+ individuals and those who love them.
About This Cause
We support families, educate allies, and advocate for equality. Since our founding in 1987, PFLAG Charlotte works each day to ensure LGBTQ+ people are safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved. Peer Support - includes monthly peer support group meetings in four locations, online private support groups, one-to-one support, parent/caregiver workshops, and family connections events. Education - Programs include Fostering LGBTQ+ Allyship workshops for the workplace, schools, senior living and faith spaces, as well as LGBTQ+ Affirming Healthcare for healthcare providers. Outreach & Advocacy - Speakers for community conversations and events.
