About This Cause
Who we serve: Youth in underserved communities with limited access to safe places for physical activity and barriers to participation in youth sports What we do: Provide access to free soccer programs delivered by trained coaches at safe, accessible places to play in their communities How we do it: - Select, train, and support coaches that establish positive relationships with kids and help them build resilience while having fun playing soccer - Integrate evidence-based curriculum on building resilience and social and emotional learning capacities into coaches’ training and program delivery - Reclaim unused land at MARTA stations as StationSoccer fields - Connect youth across communities through league play - Deliver soccer programs in community schools
