Mission Statement
To protect and preserve Olmsted Linear Park by engaging and educating the public to treasure and invest in the improvement of this historic, landmark asset, and to champion the teaching and legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted in creating thoughtful, well-designed greenspace to enhance urban living.
About This Cause
The Olmsted Linear Park Alliance is a 501 c3 non profit charged with maintaining Olmsted Linear Park. OLPA was established in 1997 to restore the park after winning a road fight against GDOT. OLPA raised over 10 million dollars from individuals, corporate entities, foundations and local governments to restore the 45 acre greenspace and old-growth forest. Today, thousands of visitors enjoy beautiful green vistas and the tranquility of the forest.
