Mission Statement
MedShare is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people and and our planet through the efficient recovery and redistribution of the surplus of medical supplies and equipment to those most in need. We collect surplus medical supplies and equipment from hospitals, distributors and manufacturers, and then redistributes it to qualified healthcare facilities in the developing world. We also outfit medical missions and safety net clinics in both the U.S. and abroad.
About This Cause
MedShare has been rated as a 4-Star Charity by Charity Navigator for twelve consecutive years, putting the organization in the top 1% of all nonprofits in the U.S. for its careful use of donor investments. Our goal is to prevent quality medical supplies from being thrown into U.S. landfills when they can be sent to countries who desperately need them. Our unique system allows hospitals in 97 countries to go online and order exactly what they need. Our 20,000 annual volunteers sort and repackage those supplies and then forty foot containers are shipped to under-developed countries around the world.
