Mission Statement
Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida (GSTF), the preeminent leadership development organization for girls in South Florida, serves approximately 3,500 girls and 2,000 adult volunteers from the northern border of Miami-Dade County to the southern tip of Monroe County and the Florida Keys.
About This Cause
Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. As the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida brings the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to approximately 3500 girls and 2000 adult volunteers across Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Our girl members and families come from across the region, representing a diverse cross-section of socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) is a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities allowing girls to earn badges, go on awesome trips, sell cookies, explore science, get outdoors, and do community service projects. At Girl Scouts, girls get to lead their own adventure and team up with other girls in an all-girl environment to choose the exciting, hands-on activities that interest them most. Along the way, they gain important skills in four areas that form the foundation of the GSLE: Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM); outdoors; life skills; entrepreneurship.
