Mission Statement
FJPL is a volunteer organization that advocates for and raises money for the Jacksonville Public Library.
About This Cause
We sell used books and other materials that are donated by the Library (85%) and the general public (15%). We maintain a bookstore and stage quarterly large book sales. We are able to donate a minimum of $100,000 annually to the Library for special projects that they are not able to support with City funding. Another main purpose of FJPL is to advocate with City of Jacksonville and State of Florida funding sources for annual funds. We have helped with petitions to support the Library. We do not participate in any partisan political activities. We also sponsor literary and educational programs for the public.
