Mission Statement

The COACC mission is to maximize opportunities for self-sufficiency and personal independence of Clay County elders, and to plan, advocate and administer programs and policies that assure accessible, responsive and comprehensive services and long-term care.

About This Cause

COACC has provided 126,093 transportation trips to low-income seniors in 2017. These trips are primarily for medical appointments and without this service many would not get to their appointment, thus having a negative impact on their quality of life. Over 49,500 hot meals were delivered to homebound seniors, who otherwise might not have a hot, nutritious meal that day. The volunteer that delivers the meal is often the only person that the senior has contact with that day. Over 37,200 meals were provided to low-income seniors who were able to come to one of the four COACC Senior Centers. Adult Day Healthcare services were provided to up to 30 seniors in need of supervision each day, Mon - Fri, at two locations (Orange Park and Green Cove Springs) in 2017. Over 41,000 hours of in-home service was provided to homebound seniors, without which many would not be able to remain living independently in their own home or the home of a loved one.
