Broward Education Foundation energizes and engages the extended community to transform the lives of Broward County Public School students through quality education.
About This Cause
Since 1983, Broward Education Foundation has raised awareness and funds for innovative teaching to increase PreK-12 student learning outcomes, school supplies for Title I school students, scholarships for qualified graduating seniors, programs and initiatives that enhance education like debate and scholastic chess, and provides fiduciary oversight for donor entrusted funds. Broward Education Foundation is agile, adept and responsive to shifting needs in education. Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broward Education Foundation provided students and teachers with an additional $2 million in supplies for remote learning, facemasks, hand sanitizer, and cleaning supplies. In 2018 and in response to the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Broward Education Foundation raised $10.5 million, 100% of which was distributed to the victims and survivors.
