Mission Statement
Through Christ, we provide dignified solutions for those experiencing poverty and homelessness. Hope begins here. We see to it that individuals and families experiencing poverty receive comprehensive services from the moment they arrive to when they depart. Our staff and volunteers arrive at our center each day with a purpose and passion for our program participants. Last year alone, we helped over 13,884 individuals find their hope again and restore faith. It is the caring friends of The Sharing Center - donors, volunteers, shoppers, and ambassadors - who make it possible!
About This Cause
For many Central Florida families struggling to make ends meet, The Sharing Center is a lifeline. Founded in 1986, The Sharing Center is the most comprehensive human services agency in Seminole County, offering the largest free food pantry and the only drop-in center for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to provide essential resources to provide dignified solutions for those experiencing poverty and homelessness. The Sharing Center opens the doors to those experiencing hardships, regardless of faith, gender, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity. Today, The Sharing Center operates five lifesaving programs focused on alleviating hunger and ending homelessness in Seminole County; The Pantry, The Oasis, ProjectRISE, Families in Crisis, and Mental Health Counseling.
