Mission Statement
Broward Community & Family Health Centers, Inc. (BCFHC) is a non-profit organization and is committed to providing accessible comprehensive high quality primary and preventive care services to all persons with dignity and respect.
About This Cause
BCFHC was formed at the request of the Bureau of Primary Health Care in February 1998 to provide continuity of care to the people who were left without a medical home following the defunding of another federally qualified health center (FQHC) in January 1998. BCFHC has a long-standing and continuing commitment to meeting the needs of Broward residents. As the oldest federally qualified health center in the County, BCFHC is a safety-net primary care provider for many Broward residents, namely individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups. With over 20 years of experience as a primary care provider in the County, BCFHC is well suited to provide comprehensive services across life cycles, helping to increase access to primary care and reduce health disparities in Broward County. BCFHC currently operates five (5) centers in Broward County. Our focus is on preventive care and health education to promote healthier lifestyles in the communities we serve. Primary care services are available to families, businesses and individuals regardless of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or their ability to pay. Our medical staff consists of highly-trained board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and other support staff. Broward Community & Family Health Centers is committed to: -Caring for all people regardless of cultural, financial, social or medical condition -Offering a wide variety of services to meet the needs of individuals and families -Managing services efficiently and effectively -Recruiting and retaining highly qualified and caring staff -Self-empowering people to manage their disease
