Mission Statement
CECO’s mission is to transform the lives of children and adults with neurological motor disabilities, like cerebral palsy and spina bifida, so that they may achieve their greatest level of independence through conductive education; integrating physical, cognitive, and social skills.
About This Cause
Conductive Education is a unique, holistic educational approach to help children with Cerebral Palsy and other motor disabilities achieve their greatest level of independence through an educational model that harnesses physical, social, and cognitive learning in a unique environment to maximize strides towards increased independence and create a genuine sense of joy in participants. Participants of all ages are welcome in CECO's transformational programs. From our early intervention program, to our full day school program, to our adult program and beyond, there truly is an option for all families to experience the benefits of a conductive education program that uniquely addresses their family's needs in a supportive environment. Program participants at CECO spend as little as possible confined to their wheelchairs, instead, CECO's programs strive to liberate students from their wheelchairs, increase mobility, and learn real life skills applications for motor movements. Thanks to support from individuals like you, CECO has been serving individuals of all ages with neurological motor disabilities for over 20 years! We're looking forward to another twenty years of unique, individualized programming that supports and empowers families to seek a fulfilling educational model for their students- but it's only possible with your support. Your support helps make it possible for our program participants to achieve milestones previously thought to be unattainable. It is certainly not out of the ordinary for participants to walk for the first time in CECO's programs, and those small miracles are a direct reflection of just how impactful your support can be. If you are local to the area of our center, or would like to take a virtual tour, to see your support in action and to learn more about the transformational qualities of conductive education, please contact our Director of Development, Sophie Granville at sgranville@ceco.org or 407-671-4687.
