Mission Statement
To provide leadership that improves lives and creates lasting community change by mobilizing the caring people of our communities to give, advocate, and volunteer. United Way Suncoast provides pathways to education and financial stability that give everyone in our community the freedom to rise.
About This Cause
We work every day to give community members and families the "Freedom To Rise" by focusing on early learning, youth success and financial stability. Through our own initiatives and our annual multi-million dollar investment in more than 80 nonprofit partners, we empower people. Our Quality Childcare Initiative increases the number of Kindergarten ready students, a key to long-term systemic change. Our youth success programs help middle school and high school students avoid those well-known societal pitfalls. Our financial stability work gives community members the tools they need to better manage their dollars and develop careers. We do a lot, but we do so to give families and communities the ability to create the lives they imagine for themselves.
