Mission Statement
Building Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities is the Y’s mission, and we pursue this goal by promoting healthy living, youth development and social responsibility and by providing healthy opportunities that empower all individuals, families and the community to achieve their fullest potential. Programs include swimming lessons, youth recreation and sports activities, employee wellness, summer day camps, drop-in child care, teen and adult fitness programs and access to our indoor walking/running track, as well as group and aqua fitness, youth in government and service learning volunteer opportunities.
About This Cause
At the YMCA, we believe that communities are successful if everyone has the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. The Y has several giving options to include an Endowment and Annual Campaign. In our Annual Campaign, the Y raises funds to provide program and membership financial assistance. Our goal is that no one is turned away and to ensure that anyone, regardless of their financial ability can participate. Financial scholarships are given for membership which includes open and lap swim, group and aqua exercise, access to the indoor track, weight and cardio equipment and drop-in babysitting as well as programs such as sports programs, swimming lessons, youth in government, personal and nutrition training and local summer camp participation.
