Mission Statement

The mission of GRANDDADDY’S HOUSE is to bring communities together through inclusive, hands-on arts and crafts experiences that inspire creativity, connection, and joy. We proudly serve children, families, individuals with special needs, teens, young adults, and senior citizens—making sure everyone, of every ability and background, feels welcome and valued in our creative spaces.

About This Cause

GRANDDADDY'S HOUSE is a family-centered nonprofit organization based in New York City that brings communities together through creativity, care, and connection. Inspired by the legacy of William Ingram Sr., we create inclusive, intergenerational spaces where children—starting at age 3—including those with different abilities such as autism, can express themselves through arts and crafts. Our programs are designed to uplift underserved communities by encouraging creativity, emotional wellness, and family bonding. Parents, teens, young adults, and senior citizens are all welcomed as participants and volunteers. We also incorporate environmentally conscious practices into our projects, using recycled materials to teach sustainability through hands-on, imaginative art activities. Through seasonal celebrations, themed craft stations, and community events, GRANDDADDY'S HOUSE nurtures joy, inclusion, and pride in every neighborhood we serve.
