Mission Statement
The Arc Tennessee advocates for the rights and full participation of all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Through our family-based network of members and chapters, we support and empower individuals and families; connect and inform individuals and families; improve support and service systems; influence public policy; increase public awareness; and inspire inclusive communities.
About This Cause
The Arc Tennessee is a grassroots, statewide, non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities by supporting or providing services and programs. For over 50 years the organization has been creating choices for individuals with disabilities and assisting them in navigating the often complex disability service system. The Arc Tennessee is a membership organization of people with disabilities, their family, friends, professionals and concerned citizens. The Arc actively pursues and welcomes people of all races, ethnicities, religions, ages geographic locations, sexual orientations, types and levels of disabilities.
