Mission Statement
Gallatin Shalom Zone is designed to engage residents of Sumner County in the work of healing, peace, education, reconciliation, and love so that we can grow beyond our current circumstances and, together, live as a beloved community. We welcome children, youth, individuals, and families with the purpose of encouraging self-sufficiency, wholeness, health, and inner peace that generates long-term potential and prosperity.
About This Cause
Located just north of Nashville, in the heart of the most underserved population in Sumner County, Tennessee, Gallatin Shalom Zone is a multi-resource community center, providing life enriching opportunities that promote wholeness, health, and peace for a beautiful, livable community. We are committed to creating an environment that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable where we treat everyone with respect and dignity. Our free programs and events serve children, youth, families, and individuals and include: After School Enrichment Program, Summer Street Feed, Summer Enrichment Camp, Urban Leadership Experience, Jr. Botball Coding and Robotics, English as a Second Language, Hygiene & Diaper Pantry, Community Garden, and annual special events, Community Saturday and Toys for Tots. Owing to a focus on literacy and education, we welcome everyone to utilize our Community Library, Computer Lab, and classrooms. We also operate the Sumner County Collaborative, a group of over 100 local nonprofits who work openly and collaboratively to offer the highest level of services without duplication. Gallatin Shalom Zone provides a safe and loving environment, where children, youth, families, and individuals can follow the pathway out of poverty, reach their potential, and gain an understanding of a better future.
