Mission Statement
The mission of the Boys & Girls Ranches of Alabama, Inc., is to operate and maintain Christian homes that provide residential care for needy, neglected or abused, school-age children statewide without regard to race, creed, color or sex.
About This Cause
Needy children from throughout Alabama have found a loving, safe home at the Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama since 1966. We are licensed by DHR and accept children referred by them as well private placements at little to no cost to their families. These children come to us for many reasons including the death of their caregivers, no other suitable relatives to care for them, as well as disrupted adoptions. This allows us to fulfill our mission of providing the best in residential care to children in need regardless of funding from the child’s family. We operate the Tallapoosa County Girls Ranch, Camp Hill; the Colbert County Girls Ranch, Russellville; the St. Clair County Boys Ranch, Pell City; and the Baldwin County Boys Ranch, Summerdale, as well as our Administrative Office in Montgomery. We provide our BLESS Project (Basic Living and Skills Support) for all children, as well as our Independent Living Skills Program for teens and our College Program for the youth who choose to attend community college, university or trade schools.
