National Children’s Alliance’s mission is to promote and support communities in providing a coordinated investigation and comprehensive response to child victims of abuse. Our vision is that every child has access to the services of an accredited Children’s Advocacy Center.
About This Cause
National Children’s Alliance (NCA) is the national association and accrediting body for Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). Since its inception in 1988, NCA has stood as a beacon of hope and advocacy for child abuse victims across the United States. As a leading professional membership organization, NCA proudly represents 961 CACs and 50 state chapters nationwide. A Children’s Advocacy Center is a child-friendly facility in which law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical and victim advocacy professionals work together to investigate abuse, help children heal from abuse, and hold offenders accountable. NCA's mission extends far beyond mere intervention; it encompasses a holistic approach to child abuse prevention, education, and advocacy. By offering extensive training, technical assistance, and research support, NCA empowers CACs, child abuse professionals, and their communities to foster a safer environment for children.
