Mission Statement
The mission of Kid One is to transport children and expectant mothers to their necessary healthcare appointments. Kid One provides these rides to children under the age of 19 and to expectant mothers when their families lack reliable transportation to their medical appointments.
About This Cause
As Alabama’s only nonprofit provider of transportation to children and expectant mothers, Kid One Transport serves over half of the state of Alabama and provides nearly 24,000 transports to care each year. Types of appointments include routine well-checks, prenatal and postnatal care appointments, dental and vision check-ups, mental and behavioral health appointments, therapy, lifesaving chemotherapy, radiation and dialysis.
