About This Cause
Future Visions Youth Development, Inc has the " gateway" to the solution to illiteracy for our Nations public schools. It begins with a 15 minute Checklist. And for those selected follows with our new FVYD program that takes 15 minutes/day for 12 weeks " FVYD: A New Approach to Reading" is delivered by school staff directly to those selected 17-20% of students who can not currently read with fluency or comprehension. With all Student protections in place, this new program has a most positive influence on our school classrooms environment, and; the time of need for this work is today! The behavioral changes alone in these individuals who will experience this FVYD programmatic work as they quickly recover-to become proficient Readers (-& more like their peers-) is quite remarkable to witness. Teachers benefit greatly with this FVYD support. The Superintendents will have solutions to many of their daily struggles in their schools as well. This FVYD lead pathway to literacy begins with a 15-minute Survey to identify the students. FVYD then exams (provides individual Eyeware) , trains school staff & recovers these students. These students respond with improved use of the skills they have for Reading. With healthy eyes- this is not a Medical intervention, instead this well-health pathway is a recovery process completed in 12 weeks /15 minutes per day for our academically-struggling youth (and also for many students in Special Service. These students will recover as they can now breathe-- to find a new vision of themselves, more comfort with their books/ chalkboards and schoolwork and;as equals to their peers. Their past hard work in school will now pay -off to enhance their quick recovery and growth toward their peer equality. These students are used to working hard with negative outcomes--when those outcomes now become positive -with benefits- their growth exceeds all bounds. Then FVYD works with the School to transition these students back to normal mainstream classes; FVYD leaves the school & moves on to the next group of schools. Educators are left with new knowledge, awareness & benefits from this new field of Educationally-supportive work the supports ESSA goals. And...these our students and kids can begin to enjoy their school day. The FVYD program itself remains with the School & with the School's FVYD certified and trained in-school staff. (School staff FVYD training takes 6 hours; is cost-effective, and; leads to multiple additional cost-reductions in school budgets). As Our Students Grow Healthy- As these Student's Reading ability improves, their reading proficiency & their recovery to the norm quickly becomes their reality. The anxiety, many of these children and youth have lived with for years, will subside as they can now settle down to learn & grow. This FVYD nascent information, with supportive data and healthy pathway will provide all Educators and Parents an opportunity unlike any other. This FVYD platform will bring this new well-health promotions initiative to the forefront for our schools and our health-guided society. The importance of this FVYD program will be reflected in these Students and in those school's budgets. Additional School budget reductions may also be found when the FVYD 15-minute Survey begins the evaluative process- for Students Education Profiles IEP's & Special Services. There is much to learn and gain for all of us with this small FVYD in-school inclusion program. And... as FVYD moves across the nation to recover more of our student in all our public schools, more of this group of those 17-20% of our youth will enjoy better educational futures and working careers.
