MISSION It is the mission of OYC to uplift south Florida communities by offering equitable, high-quality programs and assistance. We are committed to strengthening communities by strategically focusing on bridging educational, social, emotional, health and economic gaps.
About This Cause
Overtown Youth Center is a community development agency currently serving more than 3,500 youth and adult community members throughout southern Florida. We function as a civic influencer and a catalyst for community change. We use a comprehensive program framework that blends; academic and vocational services, civic engagement, college and career services, employment assistance, healthcare, mentoring and youth empowerment. OYC promotes a holistic, intergenerational model of educational and exposure opportunities which sharpen the necessary skills for educational success, economic achievement, household wellness, and mental and physical health.
