Mission Statement

Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola is a nonprofit organization established in Puerto Rico since 1952. Our mission: We are a Jesuit school, a learning community that offers an excellent, integral, Catholic formation. We evangelize by educating male students and their families, among diverse contexts, in order to promote a sustainable world in which human relationships are supportive, just, and brotherly, for the Greatest Glory of God.

About This Cause

Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola is a private, Catholic middle and secondary school (7th -12th grade) for young men. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1952. As part of our philosophy and since our inception, we have managed to provide education to deserving students regardless of their social and economic background. This has been possible thanks to our Financial Aid Fund, José A. Borges, SJ. We have helped more than 700 low-income students, most of them from public schools in the metropolitan and adjacent areas. Currently, 140 students are receiving full or partial grants, equivalent to 18% of our total enrollment. Our short term goal is to increase it to 20%.
