About This Cause
Food For Thought is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the nutrition needs of people living with serious medical conditions in Sonoma County. We provide free weekly groceries, including fresh produce, nutritional supplements, vitamins and whatever other goodies are on hand, along with frozen meals. Our services also include nutrition counseling and an organic gardening project. We serve thousands of people living with HIV and other serious medical conditions in Sonoma County. We provide services in English and Spanish. Many of our clients receive delivery service because they are isolated and homebound due to ill health, living without shelter, or do not have transportation. Hundreds of volunteers help us deliver food, prepare healthy meals, work in our food bank, tend to our organic garden and more. Food For Thought is an ideal place to volunteer and donate. We are dedicated to nourishing a healthy, strong and connected community.
