Mission Statement
Folsom Cordova Community Partnership's mission is to enhance the education, health and well-being of the children, youth and adults of our community. We envision a unified, self-sufficient community in which children, youth and adults are achieving their greatest potential.
About This Cause
The Folsom Cordova Community Partnership is a 501(c) 3 community based non-profit. Our mission and vision support our work to: build strong families, meet the needs of struggling parents to increase self -sufficiency, promote youth development through positive peer and adult relationships and develop employment skills for individuals to achieve their career goals. We bring together resources and programming in a Family Resource Center and Job Center to create a “one-stop” experience which encourages and supports families as they identify their own needs and reach their goals. We recognize that each family has strengths and encourage each family to build on these strengths to solve their own challenges. We have two primary focuses. One is to prevent child abuse through parent education and support, free family activities, and vital resources. The other is to assist families in achieving self-sufficiency through job search assistance, providing scholarships for career training, professional skill building education, youth leadership and career exploration. We are committed to addressing the distinct needs of families and youth in Rancho Cordova, Folsom and the surrounding areas. They are two communities that are knitted together under a local school board and as neighbors on the Highway 50 corridor. We invite you to learn more about our organization and the work we do to meet the needs of our community. On our website, you will find an overview of our community work and examples of the lives we touch every day. We are here to work hand in hand with you to meet the needs of our community. We look forward to partnering with you in shaping the destiny of our community. Our History Founded in 1992 as a schools foundation, the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership has a deep rooted history of providing quality services to families with children. In 1998, we became 1 of the 9 Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers that opened in Sacramento County to provide parent education and home visitation services to families with children most at-risk of child abuse. In 2005, we expanded our services to include youth ages 8-17 by offer mentoring services to youth with a parent in prison. In 2008, we added our Community Support services that provides resources and referrals, short-term case management, and emergency supplies of basic needs to families in crisis. In 2009, we started to provide employment development services to both adults and youth and today operate one of the America's Job Centers. We strive to meet the need of our changing community through high quality assessment and program development.
