Mission Statement
SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity is a children and family-focused educational institution dedicated to enriching the lives of visitors of all ages by introducing and encouraging the exploration of science and space. We have a commitment to providing hands-on learning experiences to demonstrate scientific principles and offer an emphasis on career choices within the science and health communities.
About This Cause
SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity provides vitally needed, STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) education in the form of hands on experiences to supplement the lack of funding in the school system to provide this type of quality science learning. These education experiences are enjoyed by students in over 20 counties in the California Capital Region and the programs are offered to all schools (with scholarships when available) to ensure that every child in the region has an opportunity to learn STEM.
