Mission Statement
SCF was established to serve the charitable needs of Solano County residents. Our mission is: as a grantmaker, to make grants and award scholarships to improve the lives of Solano County residents; to encourage private philanthropy for public good; to inspire, educate, and cultivate a spirit of philanthropy; and to promote community involvement and collaboration.
About This Cause
We encourage donations from private parties and commercial businesses to foster a culture of philanthropy and to assist those donors in meeting their own charitable goals. We encourage the establishment of permanent endowments from which grants and scholarships may be made to improve the quality of life in Solano County. We form partnerships with other nonprofits and businesses within our county to enable quick response to changing needs. We are a local resource to help increase visibility, build capacity, and strengthen the nonprofit sector.
