Mission Statement
Build a solid community of families who are engaged and actively involved at Oak Chan Elementary School, to enrich the learning experience for our students.
About This Cause
Oak Chan PTO is made up of parents, teachers and other school staff members. Through the generosity of Oak Chan families' time, talents and funding, we are able to offer students many enriching and beneficial programs, events, technology and classroom enhancements. During the 2021-2022 school year, Oak Chan PTO will provided funding and/or organized the following: 5th Grade Promotion A Touch of Understanding (for 3rd graders) After-school enrichment programs, such as Chess Club, Dashing Dragons, EDMO STEAM, Honeycode Programming, Play-well Lego, and Young Rembrandts Agendas for tracking homework (4th and 5th graders) Arts education with Ceramics and Meet the Masters Book Fair Classroom Volunteer Luncheon Silent Auction Dinner Dragathongoal Family Fun Nights, such as Fall Carnival, Family Dance, and Movie Nights Family Directory Holiday Store Homework Club Ice Cream Sales International Night Library Support Oak Chan Apparel Pancake Breakfast Principal's Reading Club Red Ribbon Week Science Fair Starstruck Showcase STEAMtastic Expo STEM boxes for each classroom Stipends to supplement costs of field trips, classroom book sets, and teacher supplies/resources Teacher Appreciation Week In the 2021-2022 school year and years to come, Oak Chan PTO is committed to supporting our school and community by helping to provide the programs listed above. We have such a great community at Oak Chan thanks to all the wonderful families who work so hard to make it such a great school!
