My Sister's House Mission: To serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training and community services.
About This Cause
Since 2001, My Sister’s House has been fulfilling its mission to serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training, and community services. My Sister’s House accomplishes this by providing a holistic continuum of services which focus on four areas: • Outreach and education to help prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking • A 24 hour multi-lingual help line • Shelter: including a 6 bed emergency safe haven and two 6 bed transitional houses • Women to Work Program that helps survivors become financially independent and stable through a variety of assistance including financial education, job preparation, support groups, legal assistance, counseling and stress management techniques.
