About This Cause
Our major goals ♪ Sustain a Sonoma County all-volunteer orchestra comprised of professional-level musicians who want the opportunity to play and perform classical music at the very highest level. ♪ Expand the audience for live orchestral music in Sonoma County by including people who haven’t had the opportunity or the means to enjoy an experience so central to our culture and heritage, with a special outreach to the senior and latino communities in our county. ♪ Collaborate with Sonoma County schools and music teachers both to enhance an appreciation of classical music in the classroom and to encourage students to play and perform orchestral music as a way to enrich their lives and broaden their horizons.
