Mission Statement
The mission of Project Vida Health Center (PVHC) is to provide, coordinate and support comprehensive health and wellness services and activities to medically underserved and low-income individuals and families. Our vision is to become the provider of choice of medically underserved communities in El Paso and Hudspeth Counties, Texas, for primary health care and behavioral health care services. Through the achievement of excellence in quality, access to services and the empowerment of the community to help itself, PVHC seeks to provide health solutions in a culturally competent and holistic manner.
About This Cause
Project Vida Health Center is a "sister" agency to Project Vida, a social service and administrative agency; and to P. V. Community Development Corporation, a designated Community Housing Development Organization. Through its network of clinics in El Paso and Hudspeth Counties, Texas, including a mobile unit, PVHC provides Texas Department of State Health Services priority health care services. These include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic physical and mental/behavioral health conditions; family planning services; preventive health care including immunizations; pharmacy; laboratory services; health education, outreach, chronic disease management and wellness activities; and specialized care for LGBTQ patients. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, PVHC targets and delivers health care services to individuals and families at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
