Hunger Free Colorado is the leading statewide organization working to end hunger in Colorado.
About This Cause
A leading statewide nonprofit organization that connects people to food resources to meet existing needs and drives policy, systems, policies and social change to end hunger. Hunger Free Colorado views access to nutritious food as a basic human right. In 2024, we assisted more than 37,000 individuals in connecting with food resources, such as food pantries, meal sites as well as SNAP and WIC benefits that can be used to access healthy food at grocerty stores. Hunger Free Colorado also continues our efforts to ensure all Colorado student have free, fresh and nutritious school meals throughout the school year, and parents have support in purchasing healthy food during the summer months. Our work has also transformed the charitable food system to be more community-centered with a focus on strengthening local food systems, as we have facilitated the flow of healthy food from Colorado producers to food pantries, schools, institutions and communities.
