Mission Statement
BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™ Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the healthy development of girls and the empowerment of women in the African Diaspora. Since 2006 BLACK GIRLS ROCK! has worked fervently to fulfill its mission to enrich the lives of girls of color by implementing a variety of programs that build the self-esteem, confidence, integrity, work-ethic, academic prowess, professional goals, cultural literacy, business acumen, creativity, and overall excellence of young girls.

BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™ Inc. is a global nonprofit committed to empowering the next generation of women and girls of color through leadership development, education, mentorship, and cultural innovation. Our award-winning programs cultivate critical skills, cultural pride, and creative agency to prepare girls to lead, innovate, and drive change. Signature initiatives include the BLACK GIRLS LEAD® Leadership Conference, GIRLS ROCK TECH® STEM workshops, the BGR! Book Club, and the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Fellowship—all designed to provide transformative experiences that build academic excellence, social consciousness, civic participation, and self-determined leadership. Through creative platforms like WHO ROCKS NEXT, which uplifts emerging artists, activists, and entrepreneurs, and the M.A.D. GIRLS Awards, honoring young changemakers under 25, we champion imagination, innovation, and purpose-driven impact. With over a decade of qualitative and quantitative data to support our educational ethos, our programs have consistently strengthened critical thinking, academic achievement, and leadership capacity for girls across the African Diaspora. Our culturally relevant pedagogy affirms identity, builds confidence, and instills the values of service, excellence, and empowerment.
