Mission The JCC East Bay creates healthy communities inspired by Jewish values, culture, and tradition. Vision Our vision is to be a geographically accessible home that provides high-quality programs and gathering spaces throughout the East Bay to advance, nurture, and evolve Jewish communal life and contribute to the vitality of the broader community.
About This Cause
The JCC East Bay offers a wide array of programs for 9,000 people each year in Berkeley and Oakland. Renowned for our stellar youth and early childhood programs, we provide afterschool care for working families in both public schools and our private site. Our award-winning preschool combines a play-based curriculum with Jewish learning. Our summer day camp, JCC Camp, is a popular choice for East Bay kids, and we send a large, active delegation to the national JCC Maccabi Games every year. We welcome the East Bay community to our Jewish holiday celebrations throughout the year, and offer a myriad of arts and civics events, a service program for people of all ages, and weekly offerings for older adults. We provide over $110,000 in financial aid each year, made possible by the generosity of our donors. We train the next generation of leaders who begin their careers as teachers in our afterschool, camp, and preschool programs. And the JCC East Bay partners with a wide array of organizations in order to better serve a diverse community. The JCC East Bay welcomes everyone.
