The Cancer Association of Louisiana (AKA CAGNO) Founded in 1959 with a mission to provide access to care and improve quality of life for vulnerable patients undergoing cancer treatment in Louisiana

About This Cause

Since 1959, the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans has been the local leader in the fight against cancer. CAGNO, a non-profit United Way community impact partner, prides itself in protecting and defending the community against cancer through education, outreach, research and assistance of needy cancer patients. Proudly serving the state of Louisiana. Currently we service 23 parishes with full grants and our Breastoration program, as a United Way Partner Agency for the following: United Way of St. Charles, St. John United Way, United Way of South Louisiana: Lafourche, St. Mary, Terrebonne, Assumption, United Way of Southeast Louisiana: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington. Baton Rouge Area: West Feliciana, East Feliciana, St. Helena, Pointe Coupee, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Iberville, Ascension and St. James parishes. The additional 41 parishes are served with our Transportaion, food insecurity and Breastoration programs The Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans is now called The Cancer Association of Louisiana, through a generous grant the Louisiana Small Business association and a contract with LSU Health Science we are to offer food and gas services to the entire state of Louisiana.
