The mission of Faith House is to provide safe shelter, empowerment, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and their children.
About This Cause
Faith House serves survivors of domestic violence in Southern and Central Louisiana. Louisiana has a consistently high level of domestic violence and homelessness due to survivors being forced to flee from abuse. Our organization began in 1981, and since that time has served over 30,000 survivors of abuse. Our work includes a comprehensive approach to addressing this serious crime including: counseling, emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing for those with disabilities, mobile advocacy response, legal assistance and representation, court escorts, safety planning, lethality assessment, support groups, financial empowerment, emergency financial assistance, housing assistance, prevention education, collaboration with community services, and services for children. We are here to serve survivors in whatever capacity meets their individual needs. Our commitment to survivors is that they are never alone, we are here to help.
