Mission Statement
Cat Haven's mission is to lead the greater Baton Rouge area in becoming a no-kill community by providing care, shelter, and adoption services as well as advocating for routine spaying and neutering for population control.
About This Cause
Cat Haven began in 1999 in response to a community need for comprehensive rescue, foster, and adoption services for cats and kittens. We were the first rescue organization to spay and neuter all pets before adopting them to new families. Now, we continue this service for the animals in our program, also partnering with community spay/neuter efforts to ensure quality of life for both the animals and people in our great city. This past year, Cat Haven celebrated our 17,000th adoption. We're saving lives and bringing companionship to Baton Rouge families!
