Mission Statement
Gateway for Cancer Research is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fulfills its mission by funding innovative cancer clinical trials designed to help people feel better, live longer, and conquer their cancers. Gateway always sees a person within the patient and focuses on better options, more hope, and greater quality of life. Learnings and breakthroughs in personalized medicine, repurposing of FDA approved drugs, and alternative therapies offer many people more time today. Gateway is especially interested in funding clinical trials that tailor cancer treatments to the unique biology of each patient. Gateway-funded clinical trials focus on achieving results sooner than later, facilitated by a funding model that encourages participant accruals. Since 1991, Gateway has supported more than 100 clinical trials and awarded millions of charitable dollars to cutting-edge research. There are better ways to conquer cancer today.

Gateway-funded clinical trials are always focused on achieving results sooner than later, facilitated by a funding model that encourages participant accruals. Gateway-partnered physician-researchers are affiliated with world-renowned medical institutions such as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Rush University Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the Mayo Clinic.
