Mission Statement
Pets & People Humane Society, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill humane society that rescues adoptable cats and dogs from municipal animal control facilities across the state of Oklahoma on the day they are to be euthanized. We provide a safe harbor for our pets until they are adopted into responsible, loving homes. All are spayed or neutered to help end the vicious cycle of homeless pets.
About This Cause
Pets & People is a volunteer based organization that concentrates on rescuing dogs and cats from kill shelters on the day that they are to be euthanized. We then have them tested for certain diseases, vaccinated, wormed, spayed or neutered, treated for parasites and apply preventatives such as flea and tick and heartworm. They are then sheltered with us and in foster homes until forever, responsible, loving homes are found. We currently rescue and place approximately 1200 dogs and cats and year and facilitate the rescue and transport of hundreds more to other rescues. To date we have places over 45,000 since 1995.
