Mission Statement
Working to end homelessness with education, opportunities, and hope.
About This Cause
7hills provides housing and basic needs services for people experiencing homelessness with a person-centered approach. We strive to incorporate dignity in all that we do, meeting individuals where they are with a spirit of compassion, and working with them to support their short and long-term needs as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency. Each of our programs is designed to come alongside individuals and provide them the opportunities and skills needed to thrive in our community. We believe that relationships are a large part of our success, and each of our team members is committed to our mission. Every month, we conduct 402 case management sessions with individuals across our three programs. Sessions include working toward employment, improving physical and mental health, creating budgets, and setting individualized goals. Our Walker Family Residential Community provides 16 dormitory-style units and 3 family units for those in need of transitional housing. Transitional housing is provided for up to two years, where participants work on individual goals, budgeting, and more. This community also has 8 studio apartments for individuals who need permanent supportive housing, which is provided along with case management for as long as an individual needs support. Each year, this community houses 30 to 36 individuals. Our HOPE program provides community-based rapid re-housing and homelessness prevention services. Temporary financial assistance is supplemented with wrap-around case management to ensure participants’ success post-program. Our core values within this program are: Housing First; Ongoing Support; Person-centered; and Empathetic Approach. Every year, we support 50 households. The primary goal for both our Walker Community and our HOPE program is to support people in achieving long-term housing stability. Our Day Center focuses on meeting the daily basic needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. People have access to food, showers, storage, laundry, and bus passes, as well as ID, prescription, and other assistance. They also have access to a Case Manager to help them access additional resources that they need. Our Day Center is available for anyone in need to access, and we strive to help those that come through our doors to move toward housing and self-sufficiency. Each month, we serve over 500 individuals at our Day Center.
