Mission Statement
Agape CDC works to promote community development, health and wellness, parenting skills, computer literacy, the enhancement of education among youth through STEM programs, and the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
About This Cause
We are a 501(c)3 corporation. We work within a tri-county are of Mississippi (Hinds, Madison, Rankin). We started in 2004. We worked with thousands of youth since that time. We currently have two (2) programs that are under the umbrella of Agape CDC. The first is Crossroads Multicultural Community Center. That program offers after school mentoring and tutorial for ages 9-17. We currently have 65-80 students that participate. They also are rewarded by participating in a basketball league. They compete against each other. There is also our feeding program. It currently feeds between 80-120 students. We work in, partnership with MS Food Network and local school districts. The schools identify children that are hungry. Each weekend we give them a bookbag of food to take home for the weekend, They bring the empty bookbag back every Monday. We do this throughout the school year. We also have II Genesis. This program offers two (2) STEM programs for students. One of them is a coding program. The second is AGRI-STEM. We currently average 40-50 students. These program are a part of our community. It offers positive choices for our youth.
